How to create an automation for your Smartlife / Tuya smart home (iot smart home)?

The first question to check and decide when creating an automation is which application it will be made in.
For this explanation, we will use Smartify brand devices that use the Smartlife / Tuya applications as an example.

If you intend to create an automation between devices that use different iot applications for smart homes, it is best to use an aggregator, for example Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or Home Assistant.

In this example, we will choose color light bulbs.

1. First, check if the light bulbs are all installed and working with the Smartlife / Tuya application.
2. In the scenes menu in the application, create a new scene by pressing the “+”.
3. If it is only to activate the light bulbs with the application, choose the first option “tap to launch”, otherwise, for example to associate with a WiFi smart switch or smart motion sensor, choose the last option, “when a device status changes” and then choose the iot (internet of things) device in question.
4. In the “then” section, we must add all the light bulbs we intend to control with this automation.

You should repeat this process above twice, once to turn on and once to turn off.
