Smoke chamber with patented technology
Inspired by international standards and safety best practices, Ajax elevates home fire protection with the FireProtect 2. The smoke chamber is dust and insect resistant, incorporates a dual-spectrum optical sensor and the proprietary HazeFlow 2 algorithm, ensuring fast, precise and reliable detection — total protection, without worrying about false alarms.
Dust and insect resistant
The chamber was designed to prevent the entry of particles that could compromise detection. An exclusive circulation system keeps the optical sensor's field of vision always clear, ensuring the immediate identification of particles resulting from combustion.
Ignores steam and kitchen fumes
The dual-spectrum optical sensor integrates blue and infrared LEDs, each with different wavelengths. This technology directly measures the concentration of microparticles in the air, allowing it to distinguish particle size and react only to real smoke, ignoring steam and humidity.
Response only to real threats
After an in-depth study of different types of combustion, the HazeFlow 2 algorithm was developed, capable of analyzing in real time the data collected by the dual-spectrum optical sensor and comparing it with specific patterns. Thus, the alarm is activated only when there are unmistakable signs of fire.
Protection against invisible danger
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless gas that is imperceptible without a detector, and can cause silent poisoning. Even in low concentrations, it represents a health risk — especially for people with chronic diseases, pregnant women, the elderly and children. Exposure to high levels can cause permanent damage or even be fatal in a short time. The FireProtect 2 issues a warning as early as 50 ppm, even before symptoms appear. The built-in chemical sensor is extremely precise in detecting low concentrations and maintains its effectiveness for up to 10 years.
Detects fire even without smoke
The FireProtect 2 includes two class A1R thermistors, capable of identifying fires that do not produce smoke. These sensors are particularly effective in detecting rapid temperature increases, such as those caused by the combustion of synthetic materials or in slow combustion situations. Installed on the outside of the structure, they avoid critical delays and ensure the earliest possible detection, even when the fire starts almost imperceptibly.
