The SONOFF SwitchMan ZBM5 is a Zigbee 3.0 smart switch with physical buttons, available in 1, 2, or 3 channel versions. It is designed to modernize the control of lighting and other electrical devices, allowing for traditional use while simultaneously integrating into smart home systems.
Compatible with the eWeLink app, it allows remote control, timer creation, automated scenarios, and real-time notifications. It can be integrated into open platforms such as Home Assistant (via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT) and is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, enabling voice control (requires a compatible Zigbee gateway).
The installation is flexible, allowing the ZBM5 to be wired with or without a neutral wire:
✅ No neutral mode: works as an end device, requires a minimum load of 3 W and is not compatible with smart bulbs (dimmable, RGB, LED strips with controller, etc.).
✅ Neutral mode: acts as a Zigbee router, requires no minimum load, supports smart bulbs, and includes the Relay Detach function, which keeps smart bulbs always powered, even when the switch is off.
Each button has a blue indicator LED, with adjustable brightness through the app, making it easier to use in low-light environments.
